Will The Adults Please Sit Down: Keeping It Youth-Led

Learning Objectives: Describe the development and implementation of the statewide tobacco control youth movement. Identify successful ways of keeping youth programs youth-led and adult assisted. Accelerate the process of transforming into a Lil 'a' s (adult) thereby allowing the youth to lead.

Audience: Youth Program Coordinators,Advisors, Coalition Members, Community, and School Based Prevention Programs

Key Points: Interactive workshop that provides proven tips on how to help youth take charge of their own programs. Provides helpful information on the proper way to assist youth. Adults (Lil ‘a') and youth advocates will share experiences related to the state youth-led movement and what makes it successful.
