Kieren Jameson, MLIS, ETR Associtates, Tobacco Education Clearinghouse of California, kierenj@etr.org

Learning Objectives: Identify key features of an online material development tracking system

Problem/Objective: MatTrack, built by the Tobacco Education Clearinghouse of California (TECC), is a collaborative web-based system to track material development. MatTrack is used by TECC and the California Department of Health Services, Tobacco Control section (TCS) to share information, files, and log communication and approvals for each material being developed. It also tracks the process of developing materials, using templates for the optimal development steps for each type of material. This presentation will outline the main features of MatTrack, and detail lessons learned and future stages of development.

Methods: Various iterations of MatTrack was planned and built after discussions with stakeholders.

Results: MatTrack has been well received by its users and has been modified periodically to respond to user feedback.

Conclusions: Online tracking of the material development process as proven an efficient and effective way to collaborate with development partners
